Indigo’s tiger

This painting inspired the gallery paintings in my debut picture book, Indigo Irvine. Mum and Indigo share a love of colour, creative play and adventure, which is reflected in the paintings mum creates.

This piece was created with complete reckless abandon, using the most vibrant palette and dynamic marks, to create an image full of joy and energy. The tiger has an almost pet-like quality, where the fierceness is removed and replaced with warmth and charm.
